Deborah Stafford is known as one of the best Blues, Jazz & Big Band Singers in Colorado. The pandemic inspired her to put together the band of her dreams, and thus Deborah Stafford & the Night Stalkers was born. They won the Colorado Blues Society Blues Challenge in 2021 and 2022 and went to Memphis to represent Colorado at the International Blues Challenge, where they were semi-finalists. She was also invited to sing at The Women in the Blues Showcase at the IBC. In 2024, the band started playing large festivals around Colorado like Rock & Rails, Louisville Street Faire and Frederick Miner's Days. Deborah has opened for Buddy Guy and shared the stage with Hamilton Loomis among others.
In her spare time she also sings with an 18-piece Swing Big Band, The Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, who have opened for the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra and have become one of the premiere Swing Big Bands in Colorado. Last but not least, her Jazz Quintet is peopled by some of the finest musicians in the Boulder/Denver area.
